En higurashi no naku koro ni kira estan Basado en el estilo doujin de asesinatos misterios (creado por aficionados) en la serie de novelas gráficas desarrolladas por Studio 7th Expansion. Estas OVAs fueron producidos para celebrar el 10º aniversario de la franquicia. In the dark forests where the beasts roam is where one of these expert hunters, Koshi, rescues Touko from an attack by one of the creatures.
